Our first ever Skirm!

Post by CaveManJimmy on Mon Nov 09, 2015 9:37 pm

SCORES
|33rd|  4760 - 1815  |49th|

As you may be aware, we did get smashed however we do need to take into account that the 33rd are more experienced, they have very good melee'rs AND we had little practice beforehand.
That said, we did do pretty well with our melee (good damage).

|33rd| Players:
JessieK
Fishy-Commander
Sparky
Fluttershy
Twostepsfromhell

|49th| Players:
Roberto-Commander
Ashazza
YoungGun
CaveManJimmy
Limey

We got half the cap-points but we had decent damage!

This is where we collapsed... People left simultaneously and it led to confusion. Roberto left because we needed to drop one guy and I left because I crashed which also meant that the team couldn't perform to it's best standard. As well as that, I have had word that the map is also very American sided (Wise words from Jessie) so I guess our score wouldn't have been as good as the 1st round anyway.

Overall, it was an okay match and I am quite happy with the fact that our flag defending was quite good.

AFTER TRAINING PROMOTIONS:
Limey- Promoted to Private (Pte)

I am pleased with your performance we knew we were going to lose, but that is not the point it helped see that we need to train these points.
in the screenshots you can see that the damage is not the problem. We need to hold the caps more and get more caps so that we can win ^^

i will try and make it next time so 33rd better watchout !!!

Agreed, our damage we're relatively close to them during most of the match ! Sadly this defeat came to the lack of organisation in the way we should cap.

Yes, the 33rd did tend to sneak around the "Inn" flag and cap our "1 man flag" on multiple occasions which was clever of them as not only did it give them more cap points, but it also meant that people at the market had to fall back and deal with the guys camping at our spawn.

This happened when we played as Brits and Americans... In the future, we will need to work out how to cap the "2 man" flags as well as capturing their spawn flag. Saying that tho... Ashazza did kind of replicate this by aiding both the inn flag cappers  and the market flag cappers by cutting across the map with the alley/plank in the middle which was pretty wise.
